HARDY EVERGREEN PERENNIAL. Ht 30-40cm.
Also known as Spanish Marjoram. Originally from Spain and Portugal, this very fragrant, upright thyme produces a mass of fluffy white flowers in summer that are very attractive to bees and butterflies. The scent is a cross between thyme and oregano. Add leaves to stews, sauces and dark meat. Fresh or dried leaves make a great herbal tea. Commonly used in Spain to season and preserve olives.
Plant in poor, well-drained soil in full sun.
