This plant produces purple flowers in summer. It has variegated leaves with a mild lemon scent and a slight prostrate growing habit. It is decorative thyme that can also be used in the kitchen. Add the leaves or sprigs of this plant to stews, sauces, salads, pork, chicken, roast potatoes and marinades. Plant in poor, well-drained soil in full sun.
