This is a prolific, classic, heritage, heirloom variety first introduced in 1928. It will produce mild, large, blocky, bell-shaped fruits that turn from green to red and can be picked when in either colour. The fruits are fragrant and have an excellent fresh flavour.
The plants can be grown in containers or in the ground and will produce larger fruits if grown in a greenhouse or conservatory. Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun and feed regularly.
