This plant has rounded leaves with striking red veins. It is a great variety for adding colour to salads. More mild flavour than common sorrel. The fresh leaves can be added to soups, omelettes, fish sauces, poultry and pork. Very useful for tenderising meat.
Wrap the leaves around steaks or pound the leaves and add to the marinade.
Plant in fertile, rich soil in full sun/ part shade. Water regularly.
