Also known as the bean herb. This aromatic plant has been widely used in bean dishes as it helps to prevent flatulence. It produces small white-mauve flowers in summer.
Add the fresh leaves to rich meat dishes, vegetables, pulses, stews and salads.
In some Eastern European countries, this herb is used as a seasoning instead of thyme.
Plant in fairly poor, well-drained soil in full sun.
