Also known as Japanese parsley. This is a vigorous plant with long, tender stalks that look a little like parsley. It has a flavour that is a cross between celery, coriander and sorrel. Add the chopped leaves as a garnish to oriental dishes such as miso soup, rice and stir-fries. The leaves can also be added to green salads. Plant in fertile, soil in part shade.
