This variety of mint is also known as garden mint or common mint and is the most widely grown of all mints.
It is known for it's green, serrated leaves and spikes of lilac-pink flowers that are produced in late summer.
Add the fresh leaves to iced drinks, salads, fruit salads, peas and potatoes. It is also great for making the mint sauce, mint jelly, mint pulp and mint tea.
Plant in fertile, rich soil in full sun/part shade.
