This vigorous plant produces aromatic dark green leaves (with a flush of purple) which have a distinctive scent of spearmint and sweet blackcurrants.
Clusters of small, pale purple flowers are produces in summer which are attractive to bees and butterflies.
This is an excellent variety for summer drinks and cocktails.
The leaves can also be added to teas, jellies, fruit salads, sauces and sorbets.
Plant in fertile, rich soil in full sun to part shade. Water regularly.
