This plant is extremely aromatic and has a high content of oil.
It is the best variety for flavour and is among the main ingredient of bouquet garni.
The grey/ green leaves are scented with undertones of pine and citrus.
Add the leaves to tomato sauces, spaghetti bolognaise, pizza, meat, pasta, tomato dishes, vegetables and milk-based desserts.
Plant in well-drained, loamy soil in full sun.
