This plant produces domed clusters of tiny greenish-white flowers (occasionally tinged pink) on tall reddish stems in summer.
All parts of the plant are edible. The stems and green glossy leaves have a mild celery flavour and can be added sparingly to salads, to flavour soups, stews, stocks and savoury dishes.
Plant in fertile, rich, well-drained soil in full sun/part shade.
