HARDY EVERGREEN PERENNIAL. Ht 45cm.
Lavender Ashdown Forest produces short stems of pale blue flowers in summer.
It is a compact, mound forming lavender that has a bushy habit and is ideal for hedging containers and borders.
The flowers can be crystallised, added to jams, jellies, ice cream and vinegar. The leaves can be used sparingly in salads, marinades, soups and stews.
Cut the plant back to the bottom of the flower stems after it has finished flowering. This will help to keep the plant more compact and stop it from becoming leggy.
Plant in light, sandy, well-drained soil in full sun.
