This rhizomatous perennial produces white, daisy-like flowers with yellow disk florets in late spring/ early summer. Ideal for large borders or wild areas of the garden.
Commonly found in wildflower meadows. The flowers of this plant attract a large range of pollinating insects particularly bees, butterflies, and hoverflies.
The young leaves (slightly peppery) shoots and buds can be steamed, eaten raw, added to salads, sandwiches, omelettes, soups and stews. The flower heads can be used for decorating salads.
Plant in any moist soil in full sun/ part shade. Once established the plants will be drought tolerant.
