This is the most commonly grown Habanero. The fruit produced is very hot and flavoursome. Used in Indian and Jamaican dishes, these chillies should be used sparingly depending on how much heat you like.
The fruits will turn from green to orange and they are at their best once matured to orange. Like most chilli plants, Habanero needs a period of hot weather to help the fruit mature. Best grown in a greenhouse or conservatory. Does well in containers.
Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun and feed regularly.
