This is an improved strain of a much-loved English heirloom variety that dates back to 1897. Telegraph produces smooth-skinned, good-sized fruits with a crisp tender flesh. The plants can be grown in a greenhouse/conservatory or outside in a sunny sheltered spot. The plants will need to grow up on a support of some kind, such as a strong bamboo cane, trellis or growing frame. If they are not able to dangle freely from a trellis you may find they curl - but this won't impact their taste! Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun.
