This is a French heirloom variety that produces small crisp fruits used for pickling to produce gherkins.
Each plant produces numerous fruits that are harvested at approximately 5cm long.
The fruits are at their sweetest when they are small. Left to grow on, the fruits can be used as slicing cucumbers.
The plants will need to grow up a cane, along netting or a trellis. Plant in rich, fertile
soil in full sun.
