Serrano is a medium-hot chilli that matures from green to red. They are best picked when green as they have a more fruity flavour. They mature slightly later then other varieties and will keep you supplied with fresh fruit into late autumn.
This is a Mexican favourite widely used for making guacamole and salsas. For best results grow, in a greenhouse or conservatory. Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun and feed regularly.
