Also known as bride wart, meadow queen, meadow-wort and queen of the meadow.
This plant produces clusters of creamy-white flowers in midsummer. It is usually found growing wild near rivers and streams or in damp meadows, marshlands and wet woodlands. The flowers can be used to flavour vinegar, wine, mead and beer.
They can also be added to stewed fruit and jams. Young leaves can be added to soup.
Plant in fairly rich, moist soil in full sun/ part shade.
