This is one of the smallest mints available.
It grows in patches, spreads and forms a low carpet of tiny bright green leaves with a strong peppermint scent.
In summer it produces minute purple flowers that will self seed.
It is ideal for planting in between paving stones, in rockeries, containers, hanging baskets and flower beds. When trodden on, it will release a strong peppermint scent.
Once the plant is established it can be split up and separated to create more plants.
Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun/part shade.
