Also known as common sage, garden sage or broadleaf sage. This is the best sage for culinary use. It is aromatic with antiseptic properties and has a very strong flavour. Add the leaves fresh or dried to sausages, stuffing, herb jelly, oil, vinegar, butter and pork dishes. It also makes a delicious tea. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun.
