The flowers of this plant are a magnet for bees and butterflies. The leaves have a strong scent of sweet aniseed and can be used in salads or infused with hot water to make a refreshing tea. They can also be chopped-up and used in pork dishes or in savoury rice dishes. The flowers can be added to fruit salads, giving them a splash of colour.
Plant in rich, fertile soil in full sun.
