Also known as the Caucasian scarlet poppy, it has an upright growth habit producing very large crimson flowers with large black spots near to the base of the petal.
The flowers are extremely attractive to bees and make an excellent cut flower. Although an annual, this plant does self-seed. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
