Basil: Napoletano (Ocimum basilicum 'Napoletano')
TENDER ANNUAL. Ht 35cm.
This variety originates from the Naples region of Italy and has very large, crinkled, leaves that are particularly good for pasta sauce and the best variety for pesto. It is slightly less peppery then sweet basil and has very mild undertones of liquorice.
Plant somewhere sheltered from the wind in rich, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
