This plant has a spreading habit and produces pale mauve flowers on tall stems throughout summer and autumn. The flowers are very attractive to bees, butterflies and a wide range of pollinating insects.
The roots, stems, leaves, flowers and seeds are edible.
Toss the flowers into a summer salad, in ice cubes or to decorate cakes.
Plant in any soil in full sun to part shade.
