This plant produces single, honey-scented, purple/pink flowers that are attractive (in appearance) and to bees and butterflies.
It flowers throughout the summer until early autumn and is ideal for planting in a border or large container. It is a clump forming plant which will increase in size year after year.
It is mainly used for medicinal purposes as it has the ability to raise the body's resistance to infections, by stimulating the immune system.
Plant in rich, fertile soil in full sun.
