This aromatic plant produces lilac-blue flowers in spring/summer. The young leaves are purple, maturing to grey-green. It can be used in the same way as common sage. Add the leaves fresh or dried to sausages, stuffing, herb jelly, oil, vinegar, butter and pork dishes. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun.
